Years ago, folks bonded every evening by porch sitting. If you lived in the city, you sat on your stoop and talked to the neighbors sitting on their stoops.
In the suburbs, if you were lucky enough to have a porch, you'd wave to your neighbors on their porches or invited them to sit with you.
In the country, you'd sit on your own long, open porch with your family to watch fire flies and listen to the crickets.
No matter where your porch was, betcha all the world's problems were solved during a few hours of discussion and relaxation.
So take a seat on the rocking chair, grab a glass of lemonade or sweet tea, and join the conversation on my porch. Drop me an email with your favorite porch memory and I'll share it if you'd like with everyone here!
