Every time you get a call that you've sold another manuscript is exciting. Then you realize an entirely different kind of work needs to be done.
My days consisted of working full-time job during the day, and putting in another few hours of writing at night. Normally, I'm in bed by 9:30-10:00. But when edit time rolls around, I'm falling into bed around midnight. Happy to say, the edits are completed and off to my editor.
In the meantime, I'm working on the next story in the series. The entire story is written, but it needs to be tweaked. If you've ever thought about writing a book, get yourself into a critique group. They are invaluable. Without them, I'd still be writing "One day at band camp..."
